Hi, my name is Kam and I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor. I have a Master of Counselling Psychology from Athabasca University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Regina. I recently moved to Calgary from Regina and have enjoyed exploring what Alberta has to offer.
I have worked in many areas of community mental wellness, and with a wide range of clientele with presenting concerns.
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” – Carl Rogers
I truly believe the only way we can grow is when we feel a sense of safety through self-acceptance, self-compassion, and non-judgment. From that place, we can embrace ourselves as we are right now and then make more intentional decisions that align with our values, both in the present and future. Rather than changing because we “have to,” we embrace the experiences that are already changing us.
If you are feeling stuck or helpless in the face of challenges, my goal is to help you recognize the strengths you already have-the ones that can empower you to move through difficulty.
